Our Favorite Women-Run Small Businesses!

As a small, sustainable, and woman-run business, we're excited to share with you some of our favorite like-minded businesses in the NYC area! Since starting in early 2021, we have met so many great women passionately running such great businesses. Below are some we encourage you to check out!

Refillery Shop

Based in Westchester County with other locations around the country, REFILLERY was founded by Jessica Paschkes as a pop-up to provide a sustainable solution to all communities ready to embrace the concept. From reusable kitchen items to eco-friendly beauty products and more, we know you'll find some great products that are good for the planet.

Mumu Bath
This NYC-based bath and body care brand has beautiful products everyone in the family can enjoy. Not only are they handmade, they're organic, vegan and toxic-free! We love Sasha's soaps and her bestselling Osmanthus Flower Body Oil. You'll never forget the beautiful smell!

The General Store Shops & Cafe
Calling New Jerseyans! The General Store Shops and Cafe is owned and operated by 3 women who all live in the Maplewood, NJ area. Erin, Katrina and Deanna are passionate about shopping local and serving their neighbors. They have curated an assortment of locally owned shops under one roof as well as NJ's first zero waste refill shop, Good Bottle Refill Shop (another business we love!), a gift shop, a cheese shop, and an innovative cocktail shop with the largest selection of alcohol free beverages & CBD drinks in the state!

A Sustainable Village
Located in the East Village in Manhattan, this store's motto is progress not perfection. Living a zero waste lifestyle is simply not possible for many of us. But we can take small steps in the direction of sustainability. Em & Jaclyn celebrate any progress along the way to living a more low waste and healthy lifestyle. From cocktail kits to collapsible utensil kits and an entire refill station, A Sustainable Village is definitely worth a visit the next time you're in lower Manhattan!
